Welcome to Star Trekking — random intersections in the final frontier.
I was walking through the new TV section at a local store, for reasons, and I saw this.
Whoa.
Star Trek as consumer attractor. Sweet.
Also, maybe I should give SNW another chance. Just turn off my brain’s natural inclination to remember TOS and pretend I’m just a dude who sorta knows about Star Trek but doesn’t care about “canon” which, you know, I’m not one of those people desperate to hang onto some specific outline of the future, one specific timeline that all Trek must adhere to. But, um, I don’t know.
Anyway, this is not the first time Star Trek has been used to sell color TVs.
Not sure this is what I want from my TV.
But maybe a tiny TV is exactly what we all need.
Of course you are also going to need a TV tray.
Then we can all fire up a videodisc.
Heck, maybe Gene Kelly will watch Wrath of Khan with us!
I love TV.
Over on Twitter, er, yes, X, I was again inadvisedly scrolling a little and came across a delightful idea. (Too bad I can’t embed tweets anymore.)
Anyway, I love this idea from Catrina Dennis: “Paramount is deeply deeply missing out on the market of Trek fans who will buy eyeshadow palettes crafted to look like LCARS displays.”
Pure genius.
I’ve probably shared Violin Trek by VioDance before, but hey, it’s fun!
Mr Trek is either crazy or a genius,
Subcommander Tal is a genius.
And remember, Nana’s book is coming out this fall.
Can’t wait.
Oh, and by the way, in the 100 page Star Trek III special magazine on newsstands now a full 18 pages are about Star Trek III. 18. So, anyway, caveat emptor.
Until next time, LLAP.

What's the issue with "canon" and SNW? Honest question, I've watched every TOS and TNG episodes but I got a really bad memory and tend to forgot names, events etc.. (eg. I searched for Noonien Singh on google while watching the episode of SNW related and find out in that moment the link to Khan... :shame: )
You HAVE to keep doing these newsletters because I love them.
