Welcome to Star Trekking — random intersections in the final frontier.
Hoo boy.
Don’t let me be the only one who suffers through this.
“Thanks” to my friend Justin for sharing this pain with me.
Sadly, that is just a rehearsal for this abomination.
I apologize for that, but I gained strength in the sharing.
And for your reward, here’s a synth orchestra palate cleanser.
MEANWHILE…
I forgot to tell you that I met Scotty.
If you are an engineer in training, you certainly need this.
100 piece engineering field kit. Might have come in handy for Mr. Boma and friends. (Yes, yes, I know it’s from 100 years in Boma’s future.)
Elsewhere, the Star Trekking newsletter is now on Instagram.
Follow us there, friends! Like and subscribe! Comment and cogitate!
And don’t forget, Mother’s Day is coming up.
Truly the gift that keeps on giving.
Never forget to follow our friend Lee Sargent.
Also follow our friend Rica. Check out her most excellent lapel pin.
Finally, I try not to spend any time on Twitter anymore, except when I check in for a brief second and find joyful things like this.
That certainly eased my pain.
Until next time, LLAP.

Well, I didn't meet Scotty like you did, but I did hear James Doohan speak when he came to my college in the 90s. He told lots of good stories, including about his service in the Canadian air force. But, alas, the thing that sticks out most in my memory of his presentation was when, in response to someone asking him about Gates McFadden (I guess this was post-"Relics"), he said, "She's a fine piece of meat, isn't she?"
