Today I asked Bing Image Creator to give me blueprints for a Star Trek discotheque.
Add a rotating disco ball at the top and I guess we could start dancing.
So why did I ask about a disco?
Well you’ll soon find out. Remember that this post contains spoilers for the contents of the advent calendar, so proceed at your own risk.
Day 6’s gift is a Star Trek Discovery themed art print.
It’s maybe 4” x 6” and features the signature of conceptual artist Ryan Dening.
So I thought of blueprints when viewing this starship concept art. I mean how could I not? The original Star Trek Blueprints were foundational to my fandom.
Beyond that, though, there have been many fantastic books dedicated to Star Trek design.
Ryan Dening is all over The Art of Star Trek Discovery.
I had the honor of interviewing Paula M. Block and Terry J. Erdmann about that book. The article appeared on TrekMovie.
I also got to interview the legendary Dan Curry for his book, The Artistry of Dan Curry.
But perhaps my favorite book about Trek design is this one.
