Ding!
I say "Ding!"
Welcome to Star Trekking — random intersections in the final frontier.
I’ve been overwhelmingly busy the past several weeks portraying an old-fashioned southern gentleman in a play, so the title and subhead of this issue should be read in the voice of Foghorn Leghorn.
So what did I miss while treading the boards? First off, I missed the opportunity to send some questions to some folks who’ve expressed interest in participating in Q&As here - sorry, folks, will send Qs later this week (I hope)! That also means I’m open for doing other Q&A sessions - want to talk about a Trek related topic here? Just reply to this email and let me know!
Meanwhile, something new that I thankfully did not miss is Laurie Ulster’s new newsletter. You are likely familiar with Laurie from her work at TrekMovie.com and cohosting the essential All Access Star Trek podcast.
Laurie has begun sharing her podcast recommendations here on Substack and while they are not all Trek related, you will be shocked I tell you shocked to know that Trek mentions do frequently appear. The latest issue has some fun Trek mentions and I encourage you to, as the kids say, Like and Subscribe!
A couple weeks ago my wife visited a publisher and was greeted by this display at the reception desk.
In it to win it, I’d say.
Now that I will actually have a bit of free time in the evenings (once my taxes are done wheeeeeeee) I promise I will finally start watching Picard season 3.
Also, a couple weeks ago, I spotted this truck and I tried to take a photo but I was driving so it ended up not focusing where I wanted it to, but the custom license plate read TRIBBLE and I have questions. Must keep my eyes peeled - hope to see it again!
I spotted some interesting new books coming soon.
And, of course, calendars.
My apologies, but that’s all for now. Let me know what you’ve been up to lately! And seriously, if you have something Trek-related you’d like me to share here, let me know!
Until next time, remember -
The human adventure is just beginning.
